Infrastructure has completed 9 of 10 hardware replacement projects scheduled for this year. This involves replacing the physical servers, storage area network (SAN), and the switching that connects these and other devices in the onsite MDFs. These replacements have been completed on time and with no residual outages after replacement. One of these replacements, The Royal Group in Marion, OH, was done on the fly with no scheduling due to a hardware failure caused by a storm. The team was able to drop everything on a Friday morning, travel to the site, replace other failed equipment and refresh the existing server infrastructure to get the plant up and running for their Monday morning shift. It is our job to support the business, and sometimes it is not at the ideal time!
