As the Schwarz Partners family of companies continue to expand, SP Tech has made effort to not only help support existing systems and technologies, but to also bring new ideas to the business that can help with anything to improve the operations of the business.This can include technologies to improve production efficiency, security, customer service and even company culture. From 2020 through 2022, one of the key initiatives for the digital transformation group was to provide technologies that make it easier to work with our businesses more effectively. With the onset of COVID-19 in early 2020, deploying Microsoft Teams and dedicated Teams Rooms for video conferencing and corporate communications was the first big step in providing these technologies between organizations. The overwhelming acceptance of new technologies and their benefits began to take root. With Teams being utilized, the digital transformation team saw the potential for other technologies that will continue to make it easier to work with any of our organizations. Developing modern websites and robust brands for many of the businesses gave validation to the outside world of who we are and what we do. By creating graphic design elements to used throughout the organization, on letterhead, powerpoint, signs, and even coffee cups, provided brand consistency to our customers.

A need to better share the corporate story was identified at the Schwarz Partners HQ in Carmel, Indiana. A tremendous amount of people step off the elevator into the lobby daily. Several are partners and customers. Some are vendors. A lot of the visitors are staff from the many business in the Schwarz Partners family of companies across the US and Mexico. Beyond building custom environmental designs components throughout the office, there was not a seamless and intuitive way for these visitors to learn about the history and structure of the business. A solution was needed.

The Idea

We searched for a partner to work with to help us create an interactive touch screen experience to tell the story of Schwarz Partners. We had identified a company named VisionThreewhich has been in the interactive software business since the turn of the century. By utilizing their V3Touch  product, we had the capabilities we needed to create the immersive experience we desired. Their platform allowed us to start with any one of five fully customizable templates to tell the Schwarz story. Through the re-brand recently completed, we were armed with new branding guidelines and assets that we could easily import in the V3Touch platform, the interaction buildout was seamless. There is a lot of content, so it was time consuming to create and structure, but we finally had a system ready to share the past, present, and future of Schwarz Partners. We purchased a 75 inch multi-point touch screen to display and interact with the content and an Intel NUC gaming computer with a high performance graphic card to drive the experience with zero lag. Mounted into a custom built piece that displayed many of the Schwarz Partners companies, we were set for a debut.

The Response

The response from visitors, employees, and other guests have been highly positive.  The Schwarz Partners story is not easy to tell, but it was made much easier with the interactive touch platform. Many tours occur at the office and it is a common occurrence to see the host, be them an executive or staff employee, the touch screen allows for a simple way to share the company story. Additionally, while guests wait for their host in the lobby, they are encouraged to try out the interactive display to learn more while they wait.  The customer experience became much more robust with this platform, and has additional used we are currently exploring for future usage.
